The AeroPress has grown popular recently due to its portability and ease of use. With ideal water temperature and gentle air pressure, brewing yields rich flavour with lower acidity and without bitterness.
METHOD
1Place Plunger inside the AeroPress chamber, to the number 4 and place upside down with the opening facing upwards.
2Place the supplied filter paper into the cap and rinse with hot water from your kettle.
3Add 16g of coffee ground into the AeroPress chamber.
4Fill the AeroPress up halfway with water that is around 96 degrees Celsius and stir immediately
5Once you have approximately 220mL of water stop pouring. This is about 1 – 2cm from the top.
6Screw-in the filter cap allow the coffee to brew for 2 minutes.
7Carefully, flip your AeroPress over into a mug or cup.
8Press the Plunger downwards. You will need to apply an even amount of force.
9You will hear air hiss through your filter. The process is now complete, and you can enjoy your AeroPress coffee.
PRO TIPS
To safely rinse the filter paper before use, place filter cap on your mug, add the filter paper and rinse the hot water through to your mug. This preheats your mug while also rinsing the papery taste from the filter paper.
To produce more cups, use twice the ground coffee and dilute with hot water after brewing.
After brewing, remove filter cap and simply pop out the finished coffee by pushing quickly on the plunger then rinse with hot water.
