How To Make Stovetop Coffee | Stove Top Coffee Brewing

Stovetop Coffee is another popular brew method. A very Italian style of coffee that is quite strong and goes great with milk.

1Grind coffee slightly courser than your espresso grind but still OK. Fill the filter basket to the top until it is level.
2Fill the water tank just below the safety valve.
3Place the filter basket into the water reservoir and screw in the top brew chamber.
4Place on the smallest plate of your stove.
5Adjust temperature to a medium heat setting and allow to brew.
6Once you hear a hissing sound, remove from the hot plate.
7Pour and enjoy.

Fill the base with water off the boil for better flavour results (Watch out! The base is very hot! Use a tea towel or oven mitts to hold.)
Use freshly ground coffee for best flavour.
After removing from heat, run the base under cold water to stop the brewing process. This will reduce bitterness.
Dilute with hot water to make a long black consistency.
Use heated milk frothed with a plunger. Added to the coffee, the results are much like you can achieve from espresso machines.
